Day 49: The Doctor Who Mid-season finale was REALLEH awesome.

So my thoughts on the Doctor Who mid-season finale:

1. He's never risen higher, and it's time for him to fall. OSHIT

2. Anyone else noticing the interesting doctor/warrior parallels here? The Sontaran, a warrior, was also a nurse. Rory, a nurse, was dressed like a Centurion - a warrior. And of course there was that interesting thing about "doctor" meaning "mighty warrior" in the forest language.

3. So I'm positive that the little girl is Melody Pond, a.k.a. you-know-who. There's no doubt about that. I would think she could be Jenny, but that wouldn't explain why she's soooo young (I mean regenerations can change your appearance's age but I doubt they can by that much) and why there were pics of Amy holding her. What I'm wondering is, how many times can she regenerate? Is it the same number as the Doctor can - thirteen? How many does she go through before becoming *MAJOR SPOILER* the River we know and love? *END SPOILER* Was she a time traveler before, or has she legitimately LIVED for those thousands of years to get to the time she's in today without any time travel? And of course there are the obvious questions about what the frick did the Silence want with her, why was she in a spacesuit, etc. that will be answered later.

4. On the Doctor's death in the first episode... I don't think it was Melody in the spacesuit. Before that, I'd thought it was her, but then River would have known what what was going to happen and wouldn't have been so shocked. Which brings me to the important question... WHO WAS IT?!?!?!

5. So the Silurians eat people.

6. What does the crib say in Gallifreyan, and why was the Doctor being all secretive about it? It's gonna be a plot element later, that's for sure, but how?

7. Was anyone else completely in love with the nurse Sontaran? I mean really. "You'll be fine. I hope one day we can meet in battle, at which point I will crush your puny life out of existence. And remember to get plenty of rest!" "I have had my genes spliced blah blah... I can produce great quantities of lactated fluid!" *thumps his chest for emphasis*  Okay, so it isn't word for word, but COME ON. This dude was AWESOME.

PLEASE COMMENT AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! Whovians only, as nobody else will have even the FAINTEST idea what I'm talking about.
