Day 66: The awesome costumes of people we know

As promised - and only about a month and a half late! - pictures form the anime convention in June! Keep in mind that the vast majority of these costumes were made by hand by the person wearing them. Part Two should be up in a few more minutes - I don't want too many pictures in each post.

Slightly Creepy Person, in a cool costume, with a cool pose.

Supreme Harem Master being very sexy in her cosplay.

A closeup of Supreme Harem Master and her Psyduck.

Closet DaD Fan's cosplay of, I believe, a Naruto character named Sakura.

A closeup of her shoes.

Our beloved Anime Club Leader, in her award-winning costume.

And now, ME! I'm in the process of mindraping Slightly Creepy Person. It's one of my favorite pastimes! :D
Actually, since geishas are basically high-class prostitutes, I'm probably giving him a... well... sales pitch? xD I'm not doing a very good job, apparently.

Finally, a nice front view of my costume, complete with a creepy Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing!

Tell me which ones you like!

AREN'T I SEXY?!

Day 58: The awesome things I did at the lake

So I'm gonna try to set stuff out for you as a quick review of what I did at the lake. Those of you coming with me (Sorry, Colombian Rice Eater... no more room! :D), here are some things you can expect - especially important for the person who has not yet joined me on my awesome trips to the lake.

July 1: Packed stuff. Put on clothes (a new brown dress). Left house at about 8:00. Endured two and a half hour car ride by reading a book, drawing a picture (a gift/prize/reward for Closet DaD fan), inking said picture while Moomoo took a nap while car was parked to avoid taking a nap while car was moving, and drawing two more pictures. Thanked my lucky stars Tummy and Dodo were not in the car with me. When arrived, unpacked, inked other two pictures, went to sleep.

July 2: Had a peculiar dream. Drew three more pictures. Inked two. Watercoloured picture one. Went for two short walks along trails in the woods - one was flooded partway through and one was just really short. Posed sexily for pictures of me in a mosquito netting hat. Unhappily posed for pictures with Tummy. Went shopping and found Last Year's Senior Pin Girl working at a store. She asked me to come to the store every day. I vowed to obey. Went to another store and bought something for me and a present each for Colombian Rice Eater and Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing. Came back to Last Year's Senior Pin Girl's store ten minutes later after Bean decided that, yes, she does like squirrels. Bought Bean a present. Took Dodo out for ice cream using twenty dollars given by grandmother. Went to sleep.

July 3: Had a peculiar dream. Watercoloured pictures three and five. Inked pencil sketch of picture six. Pencilled another picture, this one for Bean, after ten frustrating minutes of asking her what she wanted me to draw (you couldn't even give me a GENDER?) and having her respond "I don't really care." Eventually got "they should wear pants." (Picture drawn most definitely does not include pants. Be more specific or that's what you get biatch!*rage*)  Went to Last Year's Senior Pin Girl's store. Not there. Went for walks. Cousins came over for supper. (Well my cousin and her husband. She's 39. Yeah my parents are really old and they waited a loooong time to have kids... plus they're both the youngest in their families which means me and Tummy are even younger than our cousins.) Ate cousin's homemade pink marshmallows. Had, to quote World Champion Pacer, a "tongue-gasm." Went to sleep.

July 4: Inked picture seven. Watercoloured more details on pictures one and five, and cleaned them up.Went swimming for two hours. Went to Last Year's Senior Pin Girl's store. Not there. Went for walks. Moomoo went home. Went to sleep.

July 5: Had a peculiar dream. Watercoloured the skin on pictures two, four, six, and seven. Bought ice cream for $1.50. Went to Last Year's Senior Pin Girl's store. Not there. Went for walks. Cleaned up messiness on pictures two, four, six, and seven. Had a text-message with Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing so long and amazing it deserves its own blog post. Got two text messages from Supreme Harem Master saying "I want Matt Smith." and "Get me a Matt Smith for my birthday." Proceeded to discuss Matt Smith, David Tennant, Doctor Who, schwa, chinchillas, and Harry Potter with her. Went to sleep.

July 6: Packed.  Went to Last Year's Senior Pin Girl's store. Not there. Went for walks. Got pissed at Tummy for stacking dishes in drying rack shittily (glasses on their sides, bowls right side up, etc.) on purpose to take up as much room as possible in an effort to make me dry them all because he hates the idea of actually doing work, especially when I'm not working too. Got pissed at Dodo for getting angry at me for 1) eating an orange 2) asking Tummy to stack dishes less shittily (I said it much more nicely than that though (XD) 3) attempting to tell Dodo that Tummy stacked dishes shittily on purpose 4) making bed before being asked and not finishing it right away etc. etc. etc. Charming family I got, eh? Also got pissed at Dodo for 1) telling me if I didn't like how the dishes were stacked I could stack them better myself 2) saying I stack dishes badly too (BULL SHIT NOT THAT BADLY YOU MORON) 3) letting Tummy eat half a carton of ice cream and then not letting me buy a baby-sized cone with my own money ("You should have eaten some from the carton" "a) Every single time we've left the lake since I was an infant we've bought ice cream cones, no exceptions b) you told us last night we were getting ice cream cones c) THE PIG ATE ALL THE FRICKING ICE CREAM." "Too bad" "FML" Story of every moment I spend with these two morons, ex: my life. Dx ) etc. etc. etc. Drove home staring out window bored.

Day 48: Anime conventions are so FREAKING awesome...

... it's unbelievable. Even though this was more like a party, I think. :XD:

(TAlking about the anime convention I went to on Saturday the 4th. Just so you know.)

I spent about $70 dollars on stuff, including this AMAZING PLUSHIE, so I now possess $15 in total in the WHOLE WORLD plus spare change. ;_; I got a T-shirt, two bookmarks (one for a friend), a pair of earrings (for said friend), a Sailor Mercury bead-keychain-thing, a free comic book, and two pictures, one for me and one for the same friend. I'm gonna upload a picture of my awesome stuff soon, I hope! If I can actually find the motivation to work on stuff, I am so TOTALLY gonna have a booth there next year. I'm thinking Sailor Moon and Pokemon plushies, a few clay Pokemon and Sailor Moon things, a lot of chibis, and a few really awesome other pictures. I MUST IMPROVE ON EVERYTHING AND MAKE MONEEEEH ASFKBSEGLKJAOUDFSDLFKGJHDLIBGIKJDFNVLISAUEHBNFSDZJL

Anyways. A LOT of my friends were there. Chinese Girl We All Love, Closet DaD Fan, Girl With A Really Long Braid, Pretty Girl I Barely Know, Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing, Supreme Harem Master, Anime Club Leader, and Slightly Creepy Person, who walked in being chill and walked out with a girlfriend. :XD: PLAYEEEERRRRR. I have lots of pictures I'll upload of our cosplays. Soooo many people asked to take a picture of me and I felt REALLY HONOURED! So there are probably a lot of cool pictures being uploaded on Facebook right now - who knows, maybe even on dA! - of me being super attractive as a BLONDE GEISHA. Worship meee!!!

I took several pictures of people with cool cosplays... Sailor Jupiter, Zelda, No-Face (who scared the shit outta me!), a lot of my friends, and cool stuff like that. There were a few people I really wish I'd taken pictures of: a REALLY REALLY HOT guy with no shirt on (and, to quote Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing, with "the body of a god") from Street Fighter or some shiz like that, an old dude from Dragonball Z, Pretty Girl I Barely Know (she was Hermione), several lolitas, the Eleventh Doctor (COMPLETE WITH FEZ), and this really attractive guy in epic clothing. Okay, so I admit that he's probably like ten years older than me, but he was SUPER attractive. His cosplay looked super familiar but I couldn't place it, and as we were all leaving I asked him what it was. He told me the reason I couldn't figure out what his cosplay was is that he, like me, wasn't actually cosplaying. Apparently he was wearing EGA , or Elegant Gothic Attire (or something like that. He was attractive, okay?!?!?!), which is the male counterpart of Gothic Lolita. He also told me that the reason I thought he looked familiar is because I was probably thinking of Alucard from Hellsing, who dresses in the same style. He moved his hands while he spoke in a really cool way, like he was some Victorian dude. And he had a CANE. Also, during the dance that took up the last three hours, he actually DANCED. While most people were just doing the typical 'untz untz untz untz' kind of modern dancing (BOOOOORIIIIING), he was somehow able to pull off ACTUALLY dancing. With a cane. Stylishly. I was REALLY impressed.

The dance part probably requires a little explanation. This wasn't exactly your typical anime con. There was an artist's alley, yes. (I met this one person I know from deviantART in real life. WHEEEE!) There were guest speakers (voice actor dude, comic artists) there, yes. There was also a raffle, a silent auction, a cosplay contest, an anime screening, and a dance from nine until midnight. I went home for supper, and to remove the annoying white makeup from my face (although I re-applied the funky lips and eyeliner and blush-spot-things so I still looked geisha-like). We returned just in time to catch the results of the cosplay contest. Anime Club Leader got an honourable for her costume! :'D Later, while we waited for the dance to start, we got started on a movie called "Summer Wars." We ended up watching the whole thing, giving us like an hour left for dancing. Good movie, by the way. Reminds me of War Games...

So. Next year? Me and Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing are making a lolita costume for her in the next little while. I am hoping to make a really epic Sailor Moon costume in the distant future. I might get a table to sell stuff at and make money. MONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEY And I am not going to arrive later than when the doors open, and I shall never leave.

Day 23: Watching movies with friends is awesome

Hey errbody! As I'm sure you noticed, I haven't posted for three days. OMG KATRINA Y U NO LOVE US?!?!?!?! But I have a good reason. Yeeeeees. Well, two good reasons, actually, because I'm two days behind. YAY! On Thursday, the day that this post was supposed to be... posted... I was havin' a partay! OMG! Well, it was a kind of a half-party, because we basically just ate food, burned stuff, and watched an awesome movie. And yesterday, we had visitors, from Calgary. They're still here, so I hope I can see them again today, but they're worried about exams when they get back so they're hoping to study. xD Meh. ANYWAYS.

The first person to arrive was Colombian Rice Eater. He was about 45 minutes early and helped me make food. Well, by "make," I mean he sliced veggies with me. xD I taught him how to slice a pepper. He felt extremely proud to be "cooking." Odd child. Then a lot of people arrived: World Champion Pacer, Secret Society Girl (she hopes to make a secret society one day), Slightly Creepy Person, Quiet Smart Airplane Dude, and Closet D&D Fan (I toldja you'd get a real name! :D). Quiet Smart Airplane Dude brought some of those yummy Mini Eggs thingamajiggies for us all to feast on. I've noticed that when one of those quiet, smart dudes gets invited over for a semi-party-thing, they often bring food. HOW SWEET! -3- After a few minutes of everyone chowing down on veggies (more food came later), someone asked me who else was coming. I said something along the lines of, "Well, Supreme Harem Master told me she was going to be late, but BEAN AND SAILOR MOON FAN WHO IS EPIC AT DRAWING both still need to arrive." The person stared at me and was like, "Chill bro, it'll be all good. Shouting at them won't make them come sooner." To which I replied, "Oh yes it will. You'd be surprised."

Sure enough, a minute or two later, Bean came to the door. OH HO HO. I SHOWED THEM! >:D

Be quiet. I'M NORMAAAAAAL

Anyways, about 30 seconds after that, Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing (who seriously needs a shorter name) came to the door. After a little fiasco involving that mischievous Colombian Rice Eater locking them out, we came in and partied. Lol jk. I waited a few minutes and then said, "Well, Supreme Harem Master told me she wouldn't be bringing anythin to burn, so we should go burn stuff now." My dad, let's call him Dodo (said with LOVE), lit up the firepit in the backyard and we all took our rough drafts of portfolio work and burned them. Colombian Rice Eater was SUPPOSED to bring all his shiz from last semester, but the dummy was all "well I might need it for finals! Because obviously my history teacher will be testing us on stuff we learned in math last semester." DERP. So since he had nothing to burn I drew an extremely sexy picture of him. OH HO HO. So we burned it. YAAAAY >:D

So then I sat all the little children down in the living room in front of the TV, asked them if they wanted popcorn, and then me and Slightly Creepy Person went downstairs and grabbed a buttload of drinks for everyone. As the popcorn started poppin' we started the movie, but before that happened there were several minutes of everyone bein' crazy. Example of a convo between Bean and Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing is as follows.
Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing: Just take it off, and give me your bra!
(LOL. Bean, feel free to attempt to explain that one away in the comments. INAPPROPRIATE RELATIOOOOOOONS)

So yeah. The movie we watched is called Stardust. Colombian Rice Eater actually suggested it about a week back, and it's a pretty funny movie. Captain Shakespeare lol. MY IDOL. Supreme Harem Master arrived about 10 or 15 minutes after it started so she didn't miss all that much. After it was done everyone went home except for Bean and Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing, who had a sleepover. That was fun too. Kind of.... >_>

IN BRIEF: Random parties are fun. Stardust is a good movie. I'm attractive.

That is all.

Oh right! From now on, Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing shall now be known as Sailor Moon Fan, but only in the label-section-thing. And Closet D&D Fan is known as Closet DaD Fan in the labels, which sounds extremely creepy but I can't put "&" in there so it'll do.
