Day 67: The awesome costumes of strangers

So this is part twooooo of Epic Pictures From The Anime Convention. It's a little shorter than part one. I think. BE HAPPY BITCHES!

First off, a terrifying costume that actually scared me. You wanna creep people out? Don't do gore. Do No-Face. That's actually why this picture wasn't taken from close up or right in front of them. It was waaaay too scary. xD

This person, cosplaying as Sailor Jupiter, admittedly made me really really happy. It was a joy to see someone in a Sailor Moon cosplay. Hopefully there will be more than one person next year! :D

Finally, (WHAT ONLY THREE?) a really REALLY amazing cosplay of Zelda. I mean WHOA.

More pictures tomorrow. Well, later today, I suppose. Also, from the few responses I have received, I've heard that you guys want to hear about my dreams. A warning: You guys are in a LOT of them. :D Also, question: Would you guys be interested in seeing art I've made/photos I've taken/plushies I've made?

Day 66: The awesome costumes of people we know

As promised - and only about a month and a half late! - pictures form the anime convention in June! Keep in mind that the vast majority of these costumes were made by hand by the person wearing them. Part Two should be up in a few more minutes - I don't want too many pictures in each post.

Slightly Creepy Person, in a cool costume, with a cool pose.

Supreme Harem Master being very sexy in her cosplay.

A closeup of Supreme Harem Master and her Psyduck.

Closet DaD Fan's cosplay of, I believe, a Naruto character named Sakura.

A closeup of her shoes.

Our beloved Anime Club Leader, in her award-winning costume.

And now, ME! I'm in the process of mindraping Slightly Creepy Person. It's one of my favorite pastimes! :D
Actually, since geishas are basically high-class prostitutes, I'm probably giving him a... well... sales pitch? xD I'm not doing a very good job, apparently.

Finally, a nice front view of my costume, complete with a creepy Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing!

Tell me which ones you like!

AREN'T I SEXY?!

Day 48: Anime conventions are so FREAKING awesome...

... it's unbelievable. Even though this was more like a party, I think. :XD:

(TAlking about the anime convention I went to on Saturday the 4th. Just so you know.)

I spent about $70 dollars on stuff, including this AMAZING PLUSHIE, so I now possess $15 in total in the WHOLE WORLD plus spare change. ;_; I got a T-shirt, two bookmarks (one for a friend), a pair of earrings (for said friend), a Sailor Mercury bead-keychain-thing, a free comic book, and two pictures, one for me and one for the same friend. I'm gonna upload a picture of my awesome stuff soon, I hope! If I can actually find the motivation to work on stuff, I am so TOTALLY gonna have a booth there next year. I'm thinking Sailor Moon and Pokemon plushies, a few clay Pokemon and Sailor Moon things, a lot of chibis, and a few really awesome other pictures. I MUST IMPROVE ON EVERYTHING AND MAKE MONEEEEH ASFKBSEGLKJAOUDFSDLFKGJHDLIBGIKJDFNVLISAUEHBNFSDZJL

Anyways. A LOT of my friends were there. Chinese Girl We All Love, Closet DaD Fan, Girl With A Really Long Braid, Pretty Girl I Barely Know, Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing, Supreme Harem Master, Anime Club Leader, and Slightly Creepy Person, who walked in being chill and walked out with a girlfriend. :XD: PLAYEEEERRRRR. I have lots of pictures I'll upload of our cosplays. Soooo many people asked to take a picture of me and I felt REALLY HONOURED! So there are probably a lot of cool pictures being uploaded on Facebook right now - who knows, maybe even on dA! - of me being super attractive as a BLONDE GEISHA. Worship meee!!!

I took several pictures of people with cool cosplays... Sailor Jupiter, Zelda, No-Face (who scared the shit outta me!), a lot of my friends, and cool stuff like that. There were a few people I really wish I'd taken pictures of: a REALLY REALLY HOT guy with no shirt on (and, to quote Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing, with "the body of a god") from Street Fighter or some shiz like that, an old dude from Dragonball Z, Pretty Girl I Barely Know (she was Hermione), several lolitas, the Eleventh Doctor (COMPLETE WITH FEZ), and this really attractive guy in epic clothing. Okay, so I admit that he's probably like ten years older than me, but he was SUPER attractive. His cosplay looked super familiar but I couldn't place it, and as we were all leaving I asked him what it was. He told me the reason I couldn't figure out what his cosplay was is that he, like me, wasn't actually cosplaying. Apparently he was wearing EGA , or Elegant Gothic Attire (or something like that. He was attractive, okay?!?!?!), which is the male counterpart of Gothic Lolita. He also told me that the reason I thought he looked familiar is because I was probably thinking of Alucard from Hellsing, who dresses in the same style. He moved his hands while he spoke in a really cool way, like he was some Victorian dude. And he had a CANE. Also, during the dance that took up the last three hours, he actually DANCED. While most people were just doing the typical 'untz untz untz untz' kind of modern dancing (BOOOOORIIIIING), he was somehow able to pull off ACTUALLY dancing. With a cane. Stylishly. I was REALLY impressed.

The dance part probably requires a little explanation. This wasn't exactly your typical anime con. There was an artist's alley, yes. (I met this one person I know from deviantART in real life. WHEEEE!) There were guest speakers (voice actor dude, comic artists) there, yes. There was also a raffle, a silent auction, a cosplay contest, an anime screening, and a dance from nine until midnight. I went home for supper, and to remove the annoying white makeup from my face (although I re-applied the funky lips and eyeliner and blush-spot-things so I still looked geisha-like). We returned just in time to catch the results of the cosplay contest. Anime Club Leader got an honourable for her costume! :'D Later, while we waited for the dance to start, we got started on a movie called "Summer Wars." We ended up watching the whole thing, giving us like an hour left for dancing. Good movie, by the way. Reminds me of War Games...

So. Next year? Me and Sailor Moon Fan Who Is Epic At Drawing are making a lolita costume for her in the next little while. I am hoping to make a really epic Sailor Moon costume in the distant future. I might get a table to sell stuff at and make money. MONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEYMONEY And I am not going to arrive later than when the doors open, and I shall never leave.
