So, my friend, World Champion Pacer, said that she was going to donate a post to my blog, but then e-mailed me saying that the post was going to be late. Like the God that I am, I accepted this late post. That is until, she didn't even e-mail it.

Bitch.

So now I'm left here with nothing to blog about! I'm not writing any posts (besides this one, of course) until after you people donate to my blog, so now I'm fucked.

Okay. Katrina here FOR REAL this time... that post sounds so eerily like me I was almost fooled. Seriously. OMIGAWD NIKOLA IS SO HAAAAAWT sorry. He got turned into a vampire again in a recent episode. SO ATTRACTIVE WTF HOW IS IT POSSIBLE And yeah so the world is basically being invaded by a civilization from underground and Helen travelled back to the late 1800s in the season finale (Amanda gets to wear more of those period costumes she loves so much! :D) and so everything is reeeeeally effed up until it comes back. I WANT MORE NIKOLA!!!!! Please, Damian Kindler and Amanda Tapping... turn Nikola into a part of the main cast instead of him just being a recurring character. Every moment that includes him is gold. I WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER! ;_;

I actually DID forget to study katakana at the lake. I WOULD tell you what I did but in case you haven't noticed, I have a LOT of blog posts to catch up on. So new post. YAY!

Day 17: Moar awesome Sanctuary bloopers

The return was pretty epic. Everyone's alive again, Jack the Ripper is back to writing in blood and RIPP-ing people apart, Henry's being a nerd, and Magnus is realleh smart. Lots of stuff revealed in the episode, especially about the super-Abnormals and the city and Adam Worth, but sadly no Tesla. DAAAAAMN IT.

Day 16: Nikola Tesla is freakin' AWESOME

Just so you know, Nikola Tesla is a real person. Here's a comparison between him and Sanctuary's version:

Real Nikola Tesla: Funny-looking moustache. Inventor of radio. Genius.

Sanctuary's Nikola Tesla: Temporarily had a funny-looking moustache. Inventor of radio and secret machine that helped win World War II. Ultra-super-genius. Half-vampire for a little over a hundred years, then human, but it looks like he's becoming a vampire again soon. VERY SOON. Hilarious asshole. Gets the best lines in the history of television. Utterly kick-ass. Has epic powers of electricity and magnetism... both figuratively AND literally. SUPER SEXY AND HAWT.

Day 15: The Sanctuary actors are awesomely sexy

BLARGH it is very late... or early, depending on how you look at it... so I won't turn this into a butt-long entry. FOR I REQUIRE SLEEP. An unfortunate side effect of being human, I'm afraid.


Today's featured video basically proves, beyond any doubt, that the people in Sanctuary are the most intelligent, attractive people in the world. I especially like the monkeying around, the slaps, the sex with Bigfoot at 3:15, the multiple fails following 1:15, the sexy fall-into-water-while-changing that Will does at 2:10ish, Will's faces at 2:19 (OMFG GREMLIN) and 2:37 (WTF), his "Jesus f***" of pain after repeatedly slapping a table, and quite possibly the best line never put on the air: "Oh god my lipgloss ... The last thing you want when you're being attacked by a squid is your lips to be chapped!"

Day 13: Amanda Tapping is an awesome prankster

So as you (probably don't) know, Sanctuary returns after its four-month hiatus in four days. In honour of the epicness of Sanctuary, its actors, and its characters, I shall be posting for the next several days about Sanctuary. The second half of Season 3 is something I have been agonizing over for the entire time since the first half ended in December - the writers decided they should give us THE most demonic cliffhanger in the history of demonic cliffhangers. Know what they did at the end of the episode?

The KILLED EVERY SINGLE MAIN CHARACTER. orz

Seriously. I knew that that left 3 options: 1. The execution was faked, 2. The execution was sabotaged and so they were only unconscious, or 3. They really DID all die, and they're being brought back to life. The commercial says that it's the last one, which I was kind of leaning towards, but I want to know WHO BROUGHT THEM BACK TO LIFE?! and HOW?! and WHY?!

Anyways, the first Epic Sanctuary post is about a prank Amanda Tapping, the lead actress played while a main character in another show, Stargate SG-1. Just as a bit of background that is necessary to understand what's happening, the other guy with her is the dude that played McGyver way back when. (I think that's how you spell it...) Day 2: Awesome trailer for an awesome show

Howdy! I'm guessing that at least 90% of the people reading this have never heard of Sanctuary. It's not a tremendously popular show, but it's done some incredible things. For starters, the vast majority of it was actually filmed in front of a green screen, meaning that virtually all of the sets are completely computer-generated. You wouldn't notice if you hadn't been told, trust me.

The second awesome thing about this show is that it actually started as a web series, and when it became rather popular (for not actually being anywhere on TV) SyFy channel (or however you spell it) decided to pick it up for television. Since then, two seasons have aired, the third is halfway done (it returns on April 15), and it has already been renewed for a fourth season.

The third awesome thing about this show is Amanda Tapping. She is an awesome person. She's not the type of famous that appears in gossip columns, but she is incredibly talented - one of the very, VERY few actors/actresses that cries without attempting to remain pretty. She can also do a wicked awesome English accent - need I say more? And she's pretty, but in a real way, not the boring perfection that is almost exclusively what we see on television in this day and age. And did I mention that she's Canadian? LOVE.

I could go on forever, but you're probably tiring of me fangirling over Amanda, especially since none of you have ever heard of her. (If you HAVE heard of her, tell me. I'll be your best friend FOREVER because the only other fan of her I [sort of kind of] know lives in France. ;_;) This brings me to the FOURTH awesome thing about Sanctuary: the premise of the show. It's kind of hard to explain, so bear with me. I'll try my best. Basically, there's a whole shitload of awesome creatures on the earth called Abnormals - anything that is not currently known about by mainstream science. This includes mermaids; MANY human offshoots like psychics, werewolves, and people that can fold and collapse their skeletons to fit through small spaces; sentient lizard-like creatures; elementals; stuff that's just plain weird (dinosaur-insect hybrid, anyone?); and, of course, vampires. (Although trust me, these things totally pwn. There's no better way to describe it. Too bad they're kind of extinct.) The cast of characters includes James Watson (the 'real-life' inspiration for the Sherlock Holmes character), Nikola Tesla (the real dude that invented the radio, and half-vampire extraordinaire), Jack the Ripper (HELL YEAH), and Helen Magnus, the head of the Sanctuary network. The Sanctuaries are safe harbours for the Abnormals of the world, both to protect us from them and vice versa.

If you're still not convinced that this show is worth watching, watch the fifth awesome thing about this show: the trailer for Season Three. It not only introduces the season, it does a pretty nice job of summing up the previous two, and is a rare and incredible thing in that it is exactly as good as the show itself. It's a wee bit longer than most commercials, at 2 minutes and 40 seconds, but it is SO worth it.
